North Shore Golf Course ClubhouseTacoma, WA
This multi-phased revitalization project at North Shore Golf Course includes a new Pro Shop and Clubhouse that will support golfers and provide a new space for local community events.
The first phase of this project includes demolition of the existing Driving Range building and construction of a new Driving Range shelter and Pro Shop. An additional parking lot along with the relocation of the Putting Green will ensure the course can remain open throughout construction. Demolition of the existing Clubhouse is set to occur after the completion of the Pro Shop.
The 1,125 SF Pro Shop will include golfer check-in, a pro desk, retail merchandise displays and a beverage counter. The new location for the Pro Shop will provide better efficiency for day-to-day operations, while relocated cart paths create more convenient connections between the Pro Shop, the Driving Range, and No. 1 Tee.
The second phase will include the construction of a new 15,046 SF Clubhouse. The new facility will have a grand foyer with expansive views of the golf course, a restaurant and lounge with outdoor seating and fire features, and an events center with ballroom spaces to accommodate groups of up to 300 people. The building design reflects a northwest architectural style with horizontal wood, smooth concrete, bold rib metal panels, open beams and expansive glazing. The interior finishes continue the northwest aesthetic with natural concrete floors and an exposed wood structure; color accents are introduced within the spaces through furniture and lighting features.
