The challenge for this high end Salon was to maintain as many existing walls as possible on order to utilize as many existing building elements as possible. Serenza had a vision for the openness and use of existing windows for light. Spaces include a retail area, a central reception desk, ten stylist stations, a color bar, shampoo area, manicure and pedicure stations, and three treatment rooms for spa/massage services.
An isolated color bar area inside the existing rotunda/atrium space was coordinated with the casework to accommodate the existing architecture. The salon stylist stations are positioned in the open area of the building that fills natural light into the space. A third treatment room was added with the ability to connect with the second treatment room to create a shared room for two clients to use at the same time – ‘couples therapy’.
