The project consisted of two phases: Construction of new 11,260 SF GMC dealership building and related site development on an undeveloped 1.54 acre site at the corner of South 60th street and South Tacoma Way represented Phase I. Phase II involved the demolition of the existing GMC dealership building at opposite street corner and developing the corner site into outdoor auto sales display. The new dealership building reflects GMC new branding standards for interior and exterior materials and finishes.
The primary building entrance incorporates GMC’s portal element, clad with smooth metal panels, and includes illuminated signage. The relatively small but efficiently designed showroom space allows for two display vehicles, a reception, greeting kiosk, customer seating and sales representative desks. The service department includes a 2 bay covered customer reception and delivery area. The shop includes 8 service bays, with 6 in-ground lifts and one scissor lift. The building is designed for a future second floor for bulk parts storage.
