Nisqually Express Espresso & TobaccoOlympia, Washington Clients Native American Markets Retail, Hospitality, Native American, Graphics
The design goal of this 838 SF smoke shop and espresso drive-thru for the Nisqually Indian Tribe was to maximize visual presence from I-5 while presenting the "Nisqually Express" branding image. The aesthetics and materials follow a lodge style design standard developed and established for the Lakewood Nisqually Markets store. The building exterior includes a combination of stone veneer, horizontal cement board siding, composite wood veneer panels and the signature red metal roofing. A coordinated signage package completes the visual presentation.
The site is designed to accommodate significant vehicle, as well as, pedestrian traffic for tobacco and espresso sales. Efficient layout of this small space was key in the design to hold and organize a large stock of tobacco products for quick access by personnel. Another focus was vehicle queuing and organizing traffic flow on the less than ½ acre site.
